Our boat tours offer something for everyone, and you can choose which journey is right for you.
Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Ice Fjord on our new hybrid boat, “Kvitbjørn.” Sleek and innovative, this 14.9-meter vessel ensures comfort and safety for all passengers.
This boat tour of Svalbard involves cruising for about 60 minutes. When we reach the tranquil waters of Borebukta, we turn on the electric motor, which is better and healthier for the wildlife in the area.
As we silently move through the Bay, we can get closer to the incredible polar wildlife without disturbing their natural environment.
Walruses are social creatures native to Svalbard. Their long tusks make them an amazing species to behold.
Sadly, they once faced extinction due to overhunting, but we’re happy that the walrus population is growing. Our walrus encounter in Borebukta Bay is your chance to delight in these impressive animals in their natural habitat.
Please note that any boat tour cannot guarantee wildlife sightings. However, walruses have been seen year-round on our Svalbard boat trips, and summer and early fall are prime seasons for them to lounge on beaches and islands.
Svalbard’s summer and early fall season is a natural, ever-changing wonder, whether you choose a boat trip to Pyramiden, Skansbukta, or Billefjord on an electric-motor catamaran.
In May, you’ll be cruising under the midnight sun. On the other hand, if you book a Pyramiden boat trip later in September, you’ll feel the mystery of the polar nights approaching.
Earlier in the season, sea ice coverage is still spread across Billefjord. This provides an excellent opportunity to cruise silently along the ice edge and wonder at the wildlife.
Other highlights include the stunning glacial backdrop of Nordenskiöldbreen and viewing a ghost town from the sea on a Pyramiden boat trip.
Taking a Svalbard boat trip between May and October is nothing short of spectacular. Prepare to be amazed by the 24-hour daylight!
According to your watch, it will be late evening as you stand on our open deck and glide across the waters of Isfjorden. Still, the daylight continues, and you’ll be treated to stunning mountain vistas as seabirds fly by. There’s also a chance to spot whales.
On our Midnight Sun cruise, you’ll enjoy a three-course meal in our dining room against a backdrop of panoramic views.
Your vessel is the quiet, eco-friendly MS Bard. This hybrid motor catamaran allows close-up encounters with Arctic wildlife without disturbing them.
The Atlantic Puffin is nicknamed the “Arctic’s parrot.” We’re proud to offer a boat tour in Svalbard between May and early August, where you will be amazed by a close-up view of thousands of puffins.
A local guide leads our 4-hour Isfjord Safari, and your boat trip includes hotel pick-up and drop-off at our expedition headquarters. Every passenger receives a flotation suit and goggles for your safety and comfort.
Then, we head to the harbor for our exciting journey across Isfjorden! We travel east toward the Diabasodden landscape and the summertime colony of Svalbard puffins.
You’ll see nesting puffins and other species in the dramatic cliffs, including Brünnich’s Guillemots. Keep an eye on the water because you might spot a whale!
Your Tempelfjorden boat trip in Svalbard begins as we cruise around Revneset just outside Longyearbyen – a stunning journey!
Our new and innovative 14.9-meter hybrid boat, “Kvitbjørn,” ensures your safety and comfort. We typically reach Tempelfjorden within an hour and switch to electric power with the glacier in sight.
The eco-friendly electric motor is noticeably quiet, allowing you to focus on the sights and sounds of wildlife close-up without disturbing their environment.
One of our most stunning boat tours in Svalbard is a journey to the breathtaking Tunabreen Glacier.
Tunabreen’s beauty is colorful. An earthy brown landscape under the shadow of mountains surrounds its icy blue front. Tunabreen’s power lies in what’s called its “surge phase.”
Tunabreen is experiencing a phase where chunks of its ice break off or “calve” from the glacier. From the safety of our vessel, you can witness this dramatic event and hear the boom as ice crashes into the sea.
Sometimes, our boat tours in Svalbard visit Tunabreen within a day of a calving event. If you experience this spectacle, you’ll see ice-filled ocean water and hear popping from ancient air pockets bubbling through the ice.
May to October is the season for our boat tours. The thicker ice has cleared, and the fjords open in serene beauty. On most boat trips in Svalbard, you’ll be blessed with 24-hour daylight, the best conditions for viewing wildlife close up and immersing yourself in the beautiful Arctic.
